The pace changed a bit last night when there was nobody in the LS that could team up with me to do some imp whooping. So, having heard all the possible prep talk from Alianne, I decided to give it a shot; take on imps SOLO.
The general mechanic is the same as with bombs:
1) Summon Carbuncle
2) Attack mob with avatar
3) Run away until about 7-10 steps after you cannot see your avatar's HP
4) Re-summon once your avatar is defeated
5) Wait till your avatar auto engages the mob (since it has agro on you).
6) Go to step 3.
The differences with imps are:
(Alt 1) Summon Garuda
(After 2) Use Garuda's "Predator Claws" on the imp. Stay close in case imp agroes you.
(Alt 4) When recast for "Blood Pact: Rage" is around 15, release avatar and recast immediately. If avatar dies before then, also recast immediately (but that's kinda obvious :D).
(After 5) Use Garuda's "Predator Claws" again remembering to stay close as imp may agro.
So what was MY outcome? Had to flee to the Staging Point twice. Died two times. Almost cost a party their WHM (very friendly WHM I have to say; Holler to Lordshadow). But, after some time, I learned the timing AND found a good spot for imp soloing. Must have been hilarious for the party that was in the area seeing me running around back and forth every minute while being chased by an imp. It was a VERY productive night. Not only did I define my imp soloing strategy but I earned about 6,000 xp while doing it. I was there for about 2 hours, used the Empress band before starting, and both my deaths were [Raise 3]'d, if you want to know more specifics.
Imp soloing FTW!

Down from the Mountain
Last night began once more running around the top of Uleguerande Range while having snolls explode on Buncles. Sounds like a blast, doesn't it? It is until you are doing it for three consecutive days. To my relief one of my bestest friends, Elden, asked me if I wanted to come down from the mountain and duo something. Alianne, another Summoner from my LS, had recommended that I solo Imps at Caedarva Mire after reaching lvl 73. After NOT too much thought, I secured my xp buffer and warped-NPCTeleported my way to Aht Urhgan to meet with Elden.
From there we stage-pointed to Caedarva Mire and setup our strategy. Have her puppet and my avatar beat the crap out of the imps while we stand at safe distance from all its abilities. We so brave... >.> Elden used her tanking puppet and I used Leviathan with his Spinning Dive move. Alianne recommended I used Levi instead of Garuda since he is immune to the imps' disabling abilities and good advice that was. We were earning about 250-350xp per imp and the down time wasn't too excesive thanks to my new Elemental Siphon ability which was yielding me about 250MP on each use.
Later in our run, after one dumb death on my part by standing too close to an imp before we had our pets out, Alianne came to join us and the fun just tripled! We actually had down time now, not because we had to heal but because there weren't enough imps to keep up with us. And, side note, two Leviathans doing Spinning Dive at the same time looks very cool and is massive rape.
Alianne and myself had to leave early so the fun was short lived but I was really happy none the less. Since my return, I had been dying to hang out with my old friends and last night was a great reminder of why I missed this world so much.
Thank you, Alianne and Elden, for a great time. Now, if only Timmy was around to play with too. ;_;

Level Up!
I always dread having to climb Uleguerande Range to the top. Not only is it a long walk, but its made a living nightmare thanks to all the Taurus in the way. Incredibly enough, I made my way up there two nights ago without any incidents. Why climb to such a desolate place? Aglooliks reside there. They are the toughest snolls(ice bombs) found normally in the wilderness; usually level 77 to 80.
Well enough, Buncles, Ripokeke (my Fellow Adventurer), and I have been killing these snolls for the past two nights. Well, Buncles really does all the work while Ripokeke and I kinda run the oposite way and wait for Buncles to need recasting. At some point in the cycle, the enemy decides to explode (Hypothermal Combustion) and its sweet experience points our way. I was receiving 320-450 xp per snoll with the Empress Band on while some chains yielded 540 xp. Its good business as long as the snolls decide to explode early in the fight. I've had encounters last a whole 20 minutes. @_@ One of the encounters on the first night lasted so long I just finished off the snoll with Garuda's Predator Claws.
Last night was unusually productive as many Aglooliks exploded within the first 3 recasts. I defeated about 20 snolls which finally took me to level 73 (Wootz!) with an almost buffer of 1800 xp. I will continue tonight until I get a nice buffer of 5000 xp. Then, I am off to Caedarva Mire to try to solo Imps, a recommendation from an LS mate which might prove more productive on my rush to 75 than doing Aglooliks.
IN OTHER NEWS: Bubbles is still missing! >_< I have asked around but no one seems to have seen poor Bubbles leave the house. That sneaky bugger, he probably left in the cover of night. Why would he just decide to go without at least leaving a note. I just hope that, wherever he is, he is still ok. Again, if anyone sees my friend Bubbles, please let me know!
Leve 73 just isn't as sweet as I expected without Bubbles to celebrate with. :(

We are B A C K !
We had to take a six month break due to technical difficulties due to our new computer's video card having compatibility issues. Since then, I've been hard at work graduating (BS in Computer Science wootz!), finding a job(landed on March!), getting married (March 2 @_@), relocating to Texas(March 9 >_<) and starting my new job (March 10). Yup, its been quite a ride and there is still a ton of things still to do as we are just now finally moving stuff into our new apartment.
Big news is that, after some research, I found a solution(using moded drivers) to the video card issue and decided to take the plunge and try it out. To my utter surprise IT WORKED!!! My FPS is up there at 25-30 where it is supposed to be. No more 3-7 FPS. (T_T) So what must this mean then??? ... ??? ... ??? ¿ (o_0); ?
Your friendly neighborhood Taru is BACK!!! ...and so is his uberhumongofantasticpawnzord blog! Woopees!!! More stories! More adventures! More behind-the-scenes! More subligars! AND, you know it, MORE BUB... ::abrupt halt/LP scratch::
Where is Bubbles?!?!? O_O!
OMFG! Bubbles is gone! He must have thought I would never return and moved on. Oh no! Please if anyone sees or hears anything about Bubbles, the Moogle, please let me know. I am rather useless without him. Who is going to edit all my stories (and do my laundry)?! Heck, what IS a Moghouse without a MOOGLE!!! This is bad. Very bad. I will keep you all updated if anything comes up. Please stay tuned.
Soulstar out!
